Unlocking Paradise: My Insider Guide to Celebration Key

March 2026

Hi Reader,

It's been a minute since we've shown up in your inbox, but for good reason. Your girl has been BUSY! I was recently selected to participate in the exclusive "Partners in Paradise" event! This gave me the unique opportunity to join an elite group of travel agents from across the country to see Carnival’s brand-new crown jewel—Celebration Key on Grand Bahama—firsthand.

Normally, the only way to experience CBK is by cruising with Carnival to the Bahamas, but for this event, Carnival flew the agents out to the island to get a deeper dive into the destination.

After touring everything, I’ve put together this ultimate guide to help you navigate the five distinct "Portals" and make the most of your visit.

The Five Portals of Fun

Celebration Key is divided into themed areas called Portals. Each one has its own vibe, and I’ve walked them all to find the best spots for you!

Paradise Plaza (The Welcome Portal):

Your first stop once you're off the ship. You’ll be greeted by live music and the massive, 10-story Suncastle. It’s the perfect spot to get your bearings and snap those first vacation photos.
*the shuttle from the ship to the entrance is free, hop on it!

Calypso Lagoon and Beach (The Adult-Friendly Portal):
Perfect for those who want a social atmosphere. It features a massive freshwater lagoon, a DJ-led party vibe, and a swim-up bar with 160+ swings so you can sip a cocktail with your toes in the water.

Pearl Cove Beach Club (The Private Club Portal):
For the ultimate luxury experience, this is the premium, adult-only (21+) retreat. It features a private beach, elevated dining, and a heated infinity pool. *If you're traveling in the winter months, the Pearl Cove Beach Club is worth every penny for access to that heated infinity pool.

Starfish Lagoon and Beach (The Family-Friendly Portal):
A paradise for kids and parents alike. This area features the Guppy Grotto splash pad, racing waterslides (the Flash Flamingo and Mach III Marlin), and organized sports like pickleball and volleyball.

Lokono Cove (The Retail Portal):
Named after the Lucayan people, this is the cultural heart of the island. You’ll find a "straw market" with authentic Bahamian crafts, local art murals, and duty-free shopping.

Dining & The "Island Eats" Program

Unlike traditional private islands with a single buffet, CBK offers over 30 different food and beverage outlets, and you know I had to check them all out!

Every guest receives one complimentary Island Eats credit to use at CBK. You can use this for a free entre at the many included locations or you can use it for a 40% Discount on an entrée at any of the full-service restaurants (like Mingo’s Tropical Bar & Kitchen or Gill’s Grill). Check out the DINING GUIDE.

*For a "bottomless" experience, the Pearl Cove All-Inclusive package is the way to go, offering a premium lunch (think lobster and steak) and an open bar (up to 10 drinks).

*Mini Donut King truck in the Starfish Lagoon: I recommend paying out-of-pocket for donuts and saving your meal credit for a full lunch at the Food Hall or the other food trucks. But, if you have a major sweet tooth, the donuts are considered the best treat on the island!

A Couple More Insider Tips:

  • Go Cashless: The island is fully integrated with your Sail & Sign card, though you may want a small amount of cash for unique local finds in Lokono Cove.
  • Stay Connected: Your ship’s Wi-Fi package carries over to the island, so you can post those beach selfies in real-time without using your data!

Remember that you can book your next vacation with me at no extra cost to you. I specialize in cruises and family vacation planning, and I LOVE to work with groups! Interested in talking more about your next vacation? You can respond to this email or fill out this form. ✌
